WebMar 1, 2024 · What is the general lifestyle difference between cities and suburbs vs. small rural towns? Is there any difference in lifestyle at all, or is it the same as everywhere else? For example, I can sometimes romanticize about living a slightly lower-tech, less fast-paced lifestyle. I would be careful romanticizing about it. When we moved here about 2/3 of the houses were empty 8 or 9 months a year. That's changed and the town has gentrified when those old second house owners died and their kids sold the houses.
