Diacylglycerol pyrophosphate phosphatase

WebOct 9, 1998 · In general, PA is converted to DG by PA phosphatase or to lyso-PA by PLA2 [5]. Therefore, these enzymes may regulate the signaling functions of phosphatidate. Recently, a new mechanism of PA attenuation was reported in which this phospholipid is converted into diacylglycerol pyrophosphate (DGPP) by a phosphatidic acid kinase. WebThe levels of lipid phosphate phosphatase activities may be used as a marker of signaling events in the cell. In this chapter we describe enzymatic assays that are routinely used to measure the activities of phosphatidate phosphatase, lysophosphatidate phosphatase, and diacylglycerol pyrophosphate phosphatase.
