Another easier way to do this hike would be to go up Ammonosoouc instead of up Edmans Path. I actually think Ammonosoouc Trail is easier than Edmands. Overall Eisenhower was a very dog friendly hike and any dog used to hiking in the whites should be fine on Eisenhower. My pups loved this trail.
