Webb17 aug. 2016 · A recent Microsoft security update for Windows 7 (KB3170455) has created a situation where Canon print drivers now require admin rights for users to connect to a network printer. I have followed Microsoft's suggested solutions which has corrected for drivers from other manufacturers but the issue still occurs with Canon drivers. WebbThis means regular users will not be able to install printer drivers without the assistance of an admin, but given how rarely this is needed this is unlikely to be a major issue. If it is a major inconvenience however this behaviour can be bypassed via the registry, but this is of course not recommended.
